if i bought a google g1 or iphone on t-mobile usa in america, would it work on t-mobile in england?
i am on t-mobile in england and want a google g1 or iphone from america. is there any other phone like that that i could buy and would work in england.

1st off the iPhone comes from AT&T, not T-Mobile. If you got either phone unlocked or an unlocked phone period it will be able to work. Actually those 2 phones locked will be able to work in England, only thing though is that you will have to pay roaming charges while using it there. Plus the iPhone (upon purchase) will require you to sign a 2 year contract. I am not sure about the G1 but I am pretty much sure it is the same. You could buy the iPhone in England through O2 & I would expect that T-Mobile England would have the G1.

Can I work and go to school in England, and for how long?
I'm an American in my 30's and would like to study and work in England. Is this possible and for how long?

Yes it is possible. The longevity depends on the length of your degree, which is usually three years for a U.K. bachelor's degree. You will need a student visa.

Would like to work in England. Who can give me some advice
Would like to work in England. Who can give me some advice?
I'd like to work some time in England. I know about the conditions in Switzerland but I've no clue about your conditions. Where do I get workpermissions? Could I go somewhere and ask for a job to get a work permisslion like foreigners can do in CH? How does it work with taxes? Please help me to get as much information as possible. by the way I'm Swiss

If you have some family connections, it makes that so much easier. Also, if you have a job lined up before you go, it makes the process much easier, too. Since I was in the UK as a teacher, I had to apply for a Holiday Maker, which allowed me to work for 1 year. You can check out this website for information and application. You should also seek advice from the British consulate, most likely in Bern. Ich wunsche dich eine geute!

Depends on the settings of the phone and the rules of the company. Some do, some will not, but all that work will be way more expensive when used in Spain. If you want to use a phone in England mainly and a little in Spain, tell the people in the shop, so they can sell you one that will work. And they can also help you with the settings of the phone and 'contract' so that it will work there. If you want to use it as much, or more, in Spain, better buy a prepaid phone in Spain too.
