Not, especially if it is a country like England (they speak English) You problably have to go over some work, but not all over. Why not go to a school in England? I mean, all medical school are funded by taxpayers, so take a space in England istead of here in the US (My opinion) Do know that england has national healthcare, and there are many doctors and nurses that come to the U.S. from there. UK has lost MUCh of its economic and military power. Og you still want the UK, you can. for your interest: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/6958220.stm Here it is: http://www.gmc-uk.org/doctors/plab/index.asp Just More: http://www.britishcouncil.org/india-exams-plab.htm

If you complete med school and residency in the US you will not have to repeat any of your education or training to work in the UK, but you will have to pass their licensing exam (called the PLAB). It's much like the USMLE (which you will have to take in order to get your MD in the US). As with the USMLE, the first part is heavy into the Basic Sciences, so the sooner you take it the better, otherwise, those pesky formulas and such have a way of fading in memory.

Can you work in England with an American LADC (licensed alcohol and drug counselor)

Can you work in England with an American LADC (licensed alcohol and drug counselor)?
I'm wondering if after I get my LADC certification here in Boston, MA if I will be able to use that to get a job in England doing addictions work. I'm sure they will require all the paperwork but has anyone ever done this or something similar before? I will not be getting my license until May.

We have one where I live and it works well-just make sure you get the area right and I think you are onto a winner!

I don't live in England, but I'm pretty sure that kinda bar will work anywhere that there is a large young male population.

It ought to work, but if it doesn't work the way you envision it, open one in Soho, around Old Compton Street...with pretty guys instead of girls...that'll work absolutely for sure...and the drinks won't even have to be that cheap!

sounds like a place i would go shame i now live in spain, but good luck anyway with the venture, hope it all works out well for you.

Be very careful on where you are putting this place. you want a place with casual drinkers NOT Lifers. and there are ALOT of LIFER drinkers in england (not saying more or less then other places) different areas of england though look at alcohol different. Weeds for example will not do very well. they like to congrigate during Futbol matches and get hammerd by the end. a more touristy spot will have americans visiting along with the guys and girls that like to party with the tourists

What are the requirements for moving from the US to work/live in England

What are the requirements for moving from the US to work/live in England?
In the near future, I may be moving from the US to England to work. I'm not sure at this point if it will be permanent or temporary. Does anyone have any advice or websites they can point me to? Also, what are requirements regarding Visas and citizenship? Could I become a British citizen if I decided to stay permanently or would I go the dual-citizenship route?

A passport, current IDs, Birth certificate(to get your passport), place to live, exchange your U.S. currency to British currency, job interview or a job waiting for you, web surf or read up on info about where, what different areas in Britain may fit your needs.... God Bless and Good Fortune to you on your endeavors and adventures.

Well, you should check with the U.S. State Department and/ or the Immigration and Naturalization service. Do you live in or near Washington D.C. or New York City? If so see if you can contact the U.K's Embassy in one of those cities.
