As long as your TVs use the same red and white audio inputs as america I cant see that there would be a single problem. Since they dont have any power supply except 2 AAA bateries you should be just fine.
2 :
yes it will work anywhere connect like you would with a wireless mic

Can an American easily work in England (legally)

Can an American easily work in England (legally)?

Not now. I'm in Scotland (same immigration laws) and my girlfriend is from the US. There are very specific guidelines now so you need to be pretty highly qualified first. Otherwise it might be easier to try and get a Student Visa and move up to a work one, or look at working holidaymaker visa.

It can be done. Technically speaking - unless you're married to a Brit - you need to be offered a job in the UK and the company offering you the job need to be willing to make a case for employing a foreigner rather than a local person (easy if you're a professional, very difficult if you want to do a job that anybody could do). The American ExPats forum (linked below) has a wealth of information on getting a visa and emigrating to the UK. There's also a great article on the Transitions Abroad website (also linked, below) that's well worth reading.

It isn't very easy because citizens from the EEA (European Economic Area) take precedence over any jobs going, but it can be done. All the criteria for working here can be found at this government site. http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/workingintheuk/ The Working Holidaymaker visa which has been mentioned in another answer no longer exists. It was replaced late last year by the Youth Mobility Scheme, and Americans are not eligible for it... http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/workingintheuk/tier5/

It depends on your age, work experience, education and income. If you have at least a BA, are making about $70K/year, and have proof that you have enough money to support yourself for several months, you can apply as a Highly Skilled Migrant under the Tier 1 program. This visa does not require you to be sponsored by a company, and you cannot receive public funds in case you are laid off by a company.

Who should be processing a work permit for england

Who should be processing a work permit for england?
I was offered a job in england and my employer wants me to contribute for the processing of my working permit. Should I send money or they should shoulder the processing and the expenses? I am a non-Uk resident. I need your opinion on this because I dont know how the process works and I just dont want to be a victim of a scam. hoping for your early response. I got the job offer from a job search website workabroadaustralia.com. should the job be legitimate or considered a scam?

Sounds like a scam.
2 :
That is one of the most common scams of all. Intending workers must apply for their own work permit - the employer doesn't get it for you so you should never need to send money to any third party. See if the following rings any alarms: http://www.419scam.org/nigeria-job-scams.htm EDIT: Anyone can post a job on that site and 'jobs' and 'employers' are not vetted. It still sounds like a scam - the only difference is that you contacted them instead of them sending you an unsolicited email. Do NOT send money or provide personal details. Do a Google search on the company name and the name of any person mentioned in the correspondence as the scammers often use the same details. If nothing turns up on your search, it doesn't mean anything - they may not have scammed using those details before. If something does turn up, then you'll know for sure that it's a scam. The UK has very high unemployment and it is virtually unheard of for anyone from overseas to be given a job without a personal interview. Why would anyone be giving a scarce job to someone they've never met? SCAM!
3 :
Its a common scam, the employer has to pay all the fees in the UK as part of their sponsorship. The fees you will have pay is when you personally go to the British High Commission to get the visa s in your passport, you dont give money to anybody else or before you go to the High Commission. Call the High Commission to confirm if you want more proof. Did you even meet this company offering you the job??? If not of course its a scam, nobody is going to hire a person from abroad theyve never even met especially when there are 3 million unemployed people in the UK who have to be offered the job first
