Going to america this weekend and looking to purchase an electrical shaver but not sure whether once i get back to england that it will work.

You must know your plug-in type, so that would be the 1st clue.

Yes - BUT - the voltage in America is only 110 volts - the voltage in the UK is 240 volts. Shavers sold in America will be for use on a 110 volt system, unless you already have a 110volt shaver outlet in your bathroom you will need to purchase a voltage converter when you get home again in order to use the shaver in the UK. You will need to purchase something like this :- http://cpc.farnell.com/_/mw2p-045/45w-230-110v-ac-ac-adaptor/dp/PW00942 in order to use the shaver in the UK. ##

Yep of course, you can buy a plug to plug into the plug of the shaver, and plug the actual plug LOL.. i said plug too much Sorry its like a extension lead..but it plugs into the shaver from other countries...and then plugs in like it does in england!! I hope it helps, because i dont actually know what it is called (sorry) But you will see the name, ask in airports!
