You will not need a converter, which changes 120 to 240 volt, but you will need a plug adapter. The shape of the plug and outlet is different. On this page you will see the different pictures: http://www.powercords.co.uk/standard.htm If it has a grounded plug, with three metal prongs, you will need an adapter plug which has the three metal pins. If it has two metal pins and one plastic, you can get away with a much cheaper and more uniform Europlug adapter.
