How can I work in England this summer

How can I work in England this summer?
I am currently living in Canada and have holidays in July and August. I would like to go to England for both months and work to help fund my holiday. It would need to be a live-in job like a summer camp or hotel work. Is there somewhere that has job postings that will hire international employees? Is there anything else I will need to know about in order to work in England? From the research I've done, I shouldn't need a visa or a travel permit, but if you know different, please let me know.

If you go to England for just a couple of months, you will spend at least one month to search for a job there.Than, you spend a good amount of money on living costs there. You will end up almost even. If you want to make a fast buck-go to Russia, Moscow. This is the third most expensive city in the world, but you work on cash there. This country operates on cash! And another thing: If you are good at something like computers, engineering, playing sports or business administration- they will love you and won't let you go back to your country. So do the research what country will pay you the most in a short period of time. Russians are smart, kind and generous. Trust me, I've been there.

look online for job opportunities in england and then go about the work visa once youve been accepted

You say that you are living in Canada...but are you Canadian. I ask simply because there are different rules and regulations for different nationalities. If you are not a citizen of the EEA (European Economic Area) you will need a work permit, and to get one of those you will need to have a skill that is in high demand over here, the type of work you are looking for is not classed as being in high demand. However if you are a Canadian citizen then you could always consider coming here under the Youth Mobility Scheme which replaced the Working holiday maker visa in 2008. You can find all the rules etc at this Government Border Agency site... http://www.bia.homeoffice.gov.uk/workingintheuk/ http://www.bia.homeoffice.gov.uk/workingintheuk/tier5/youthmobilityscheme/

Will buying an american game shipped to England work on my Xbox?
I want to get a game called Stoked from here :-http://www.overstock.com/Books-Movies-Music-Games/Xbox-360-Stoked/3816799/product.html?cid=133635because it is only available in the USA, So if I buy it of that website, will it work on an English XboX?

All XboX are the same, no matter where they are sold. However, lots of games are 'region locked', so you can only play region free USA games on an EU Xbox. Here is a list of all region free xbox games: http://wiki.xboxic.com/Region-free_Xbox_360_Games and this one: http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-00-3-xbox360_compatibility_guide-49-en.html Btw, all EA games are region locked, and all Ubisoft games are region free. So I'm afraid yours isn't there:(

have to go with no

just make sure it is the format for your xbox

well , i don't go to private school , i go to just a normal high school , however i think it is the same really. you don't mention your age so ill say the ages : ages 11-12 - year 7 ages 12-13 - year 8 ages 13-14 - year 9 ages 14-15 - year 10 ages 15-16 year 11 then you can stay on at sixth form ( basically year 12 and 13 ) which you stay at for 2 years ( this is optional ) then you can go to college and university. if you are applying for 2010 then you will be put on a waiting list , because you will fine most schools will be booked. if you are going for 2010 then you will probably go back after the christmas holidays. earning a scholarship in private school will be slightly different. you may need to take an exam to get in , and most private schools expect you to pay for going to school. so just bare those in mind before moving. to be honest you can try private school , but if you are moving over to here , you need to be aware of costs and things. then you could try a normal high school. Hope this helps

Will a hair straightener purchased in England work in Italy without a converter

Are the outlets the same in both countries?

You will not need a converter, which changes 120 to 240 volt, but you will need a plug adapter. The shape of the plug and outlet is different. On this page you will see the different pictures: http://www.powercords.co.uk/standard.htm If it has a grounded plug, with three metal prongs, you will need an adapter plug which has the three metal pins. If it has two metal pins and one plastic, you can get away with a much cheaper and more uniform Europlug adapter.
