What documents do I need to work in England if I am an E.U member

What documents do I need to work in England if I am an E.U member?
I am a third level student in Dublin, Ireland and wish to go to London to work for the Summer. I have a European passport but are there any other forms of documentation I might need? For example do I need to get an English PPS number? Any help anybody can give me would be really appreciated!! :)

You should be able to get some useful information at this Government Border Agency site... http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/eucitizens/ This site gives you information about applying for a National Insurance Number...you need one to be able to work... http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/MoneyTaxAndBenefits/BenefitsTaxCreditsAndOtherSupport/BeginnersGuideToBenefits/DG_10014073 You should be aware though that jobs are very few and far between in all parts of the UK, and people are still losing their jobs, so there will be lots of people going after the same jobs that you would be interested in.

I'm a Canadian paramedic, how would I obtain work in England?
I'm a Canadian paramedic with all Canadian paramedical education and experience and I want to move to England permanently. How difficult would it be to obtain work? Would I have to do an exam or anything? Some re-training? Thanks! :)

The only way you get work in the UK if someone sponsor you. There are over three million unemployed in the UK at the moment.

With difficulty. You would need to look at the NHS website and see if there is a shortage of paramedics in the UK. If there is, you might be able to apply. You would need to have your quals checked and probably do some training courses/tests.

where in england will you be staying? You could try reed recruitment www.reed.co.uk I think that in two weeks you wont be allowed to work in a hospital because you need to be police checked and that takes three weeks but reed can probably find you some office work.

May I work in England or Scotland

May I work in England or Scotland ?
Hi, I have studied civil engineering in Turkey. I am planning on applying to Structural Engineering Masters Program in England next year. If I get accepted, and get my degree on Structural Engineering in England, can I find a job in this area? For example, foreign doctors can not work in Turkey. Is there such rule in England? (or Scotland) Thank you.

I jus got back from de pub, mate. Such a heavy question. Best thing is to ask the town's rep in Parliment what he/she thinks.
2 :
regarding structural engineering there are no restrictions on where you gained the qualifications from. as long as the qualification is accepted (something like that standard would) and obviously the required work permits. england and scotland don't differ very much in terms of regulations.

Turkey isn't in the EU yet is it? So you would haveto get a work permit. Once you had that though england & Scotland are part of one country (the UK) so you could work in either country or even Wales or Northern Ireland if you wanted too.
