I have Canadian passport. Can I live and work in England

I have Canadian passport. Can I live and work in England?
What will be the paperwork required? Will I be able to get into England the first time without needing a visa? Detailed information will be very helpful and greatly appreciated. If there's some official website with the info, please also send link. Thank you so much.

Look for "Working Holiday Visa" the UK participates in it and I think that also Canada. So you might be able to live and work in the UK for up to 1 year, just call the UK Embassy and find out.

Why would you think that having a Canadian passport will allow you to live and work in England? Those two matters have no logical relationship whatsoever. Like anywhere else in the world, you will have to qualify to emigrate to the UK on the basis of education, experience and whether there is a demand for whatever skills you possess. Having a Canadian passport has nothing to do with any of that. Look through http://www.ukimmigration.com/immigration_assessments.htm

I only have a college degree, could I work in England

I only have a college degree, could I work in England?
My specialtiy in the college was software engineering, my work now is modeling , texturing, mapping for 3d games and sometimes I draw concept arts. I'm living in China. Could I successfully employed by English companies and work in England or any other British countries without a bachelor degree?

If you have good experience that should help you get a job but a bachelors would definitely help.

Will my DS lite charger work in England?
I know you will need an adaptor but I read that the DS charger can burn up because in England they have different electricity outlets. 10 for best answer!

You need an adaptor AND a converter, you can find then in travel/luggage stores
2 :
The UK uses socket outlets which are completely different from any in the USA or elswhere in Europe. In addition, the electricity supply in the UK and Europe is at 220-240 volts, so unless your charger is rated for 110-240 volts - yes, it will burn out. As a further complication, UK and Euopean electricity is supplied at 50Hz AC, whlist the USA uses 60Hz AC. This difference doesn't much matter for a battery charger since the output is converted to DC anyway, but anything American that runs on AC electricity won't work in Europe without a converter.

Can a spain voltage converter work in England

The voltage converter may work but the supply in the UK can be as high as 240 volts. The sockets are 3 pin (earth, neutral & live) so you will need an adaptor to convert the European plug to a British one. All British plugs are protected by a fuse, if your Spanish voltage converter does not have one I would not recommend using it as there would be a serious risk of fire and/or electric shock especially if you use anything that draws a lot of current like a hairdryer.

If you have used it successfully in Spain then yes, it will work in England. But note that the plug used in the UK is different to the plug used in Europe, it has 3 rectangular pins instead of 2 round ones. You can get UK to Euro adapters, have a look on Ebay.
