I don't think so, I tried getting cheats for a ds game and there's different codes for north american and europe so that probably means the games are different there just like the dvd's are.

Well, it's not going to stop functioning as soon as you cross the pond! Keep in mind that you'll need a power converter so you'll be able to charge it.

the games may be zone coded meaning that your games from the UK will continue to work fine BUT any games that you buy in Canada for the DSi may not work because the games and the machine have different zone codes, much like DVDs
