i'm gonna be going to america soon and i was thinking of getting an i phone but i'm not sure whether it will work in england. any help?

Yes, but you'll have to change most of the settings.

For calls and texts, maybe. You have to unlock it to use it. And you won't get 3G data on it because AT&T uses different data frequencies than you do in the UK. By the way, just in case you didn't know this, it's highly unlikely you'll be able to do this. When you buy an iPhone in the US, you *must* get a contract. That's why the price is so "low." The phone is subsidized on a two-year contract, and as a foreign national, you won't qualify.
