What are the requirements for moving from the US to work/live in England

What are the requirements for moving from the US to work/live in England? In the near future, I may be moving from the US to England to work. I'm not sure at this point if it will be permanent or temporary. Does anyone have any advice or websites they can point me to? Also, what are requirements regarding Visas and citizenship? Could I become a British citizen if I decided to stay permanently or would I go the dual-citizenship route?
